  1. Black Space

From the recording Idolatry

A hate ballad about the despair, anger, bitterness, and utter demise of love. The Black Space is the nightmare in which we’ve all found ourselves. The song begins with spitefulness and the relishing in the repercussive, permanent hurt inflicted. It then moves into a listless suspension of emptiness, as the only one you want to feel the tear-swelling hurt and blame is not in this space. You’re alone. It finishes with an intentionally subdued chaos - signifying defeat, like an animal that’s been terminally injured and incapable of standing - ever again.

Lyrics

There’s no fixing the damage I’ve caused in this place…
The things you do and what you say
You can’t replace what you take away

I’m the hurt and the pain at the sight of your face.
The hurt and pain I feel inside
God, you make me wanna die.

Every part of you, can just fuck off.
Cause what I started, cannot be stopped.

Existence comes down - to nothing,
Especially in love.

The hat that you’ll find here,
Is equalled by none.

The love that you gave me!
Was not love!

Just so much promise,
I fucking hate, what we’ve become…

There’s no fixing the damage I’ve caused in this place…

Every part of you, can just fuck off.
Cause what ya started, cannot be stopped.

There’s no fixing the damage I’ve caused in this place…
I’m the hurt and the pain at - the sight of your face.

Dear God, look what you started,
The fire’s burning down our house.

Pray to God, look what you started,
There’s no one here to save you now.

Dear God, look what you started,
The fire’s burning down our house.

Pray to God, look what you started,
There’s no one here to save you now.

Lay me down,
Cut me deep,
Until I bleed on the sheets where you left me.
I fall asleep,
Until I dream,
On the bed where I’m lying where you’ll find me,
The poison’s sweet,
Bitter sweet,
Like the taste on my lips when you kissed me,
I go to sleep,
Until we meet,
On the bed where you’re crying cuz you miss me…

I - I always was the only one to dream.
I - I always was the only one to -

I always was the only one to dream.
In this space I call Black,
In this Black space.
